The restoration of the portraits of the Galerie des Illustres
After experiencing two repainting campaigns in the 18th and 19th centuries, the portraits in the Galerie des Illustres finally regain their original appearance with their surprises. Launched in 1986, this incredible and exciting restoration project of 36 is about to be completed in 2023. Return of the portraits of the reign of Charles VII in 2021 and those of Charles VI in February 2022… We are impatiently awaiting the arrival of those of the contemporaries of King Charles V by the end of 2022!
